The Kingston Sheep Dog Trials Festival is celebrating 26 successful years in 2013, and we have been recognized again this year by Festivals and Events Ontario as a Top 100 Event!
This annual event, held at beautiful Grass Creek Park attracts over 7,000 spectators throughout the 3-day festival. The trials are our agricultural sport celebrating our connection with our urban neighbours. Visitors and handlers from all over the globe make Kingston their home for 3 amazing days of trials competition.
For those less familiar with the sport of trialing, there are many wonderful side attractions to entertain and delight you! Craft & Artisans’ Fair, Sheep Shearing, Kingston Police K-9 Demonstrations, The Agility Connection, Bowmanville Zoo Animal Encounters, Rideau River DockDogs, Pony Rides & Petting Zoo, Face Painting and children’s craft area.
Still not enough to keep you busy…try our new camel rides then cool off with a dip at our beautiful sand beach! Pack a picnic lunch and spend the day or delight in the many wonderful culinary pleasures that await you at the park.
If you are a repeat spectator at the trials, welcome back. If you have never been before, here is hoping you will become a repeat.
